How Therapist Feedback Can Change a Client's Perspective on Issues of Concern

A 25y/o client was haunted by a memory of a bullying incident during his school years and felt it continued to linger and effect his confidence and self esteem in his present day life holding him back from taking necessary risks for growth. Upon sharing the story of the incident in session, this client was stunned by what was glaringly obvious to me as his therapist. This is an example of how valuable therapy can be.
